What is Ceefer Madness?

The site gets its name from my love of Hawkwind and the love-hate relationship I have had for the last 8 years with a 1965 BSA C15 called Gnasher.

Who am I?

I’m a 7/16ths knackered engineer with more opinions that I have any right to.

Why have I created a website?

1. Because I like the way enthusiasts’ websites often have cool stuff on them and I’d like to share some of the cool stuff I have discovered over the years (like how many times can you rebuild a C15 gearbox before you get something useable? – well maybe not – I’m sure there was something cool I found out!).

2. Because often, when I talk to people I can’t explain what I mean or, I’m thinking about what they have said and changing my mind,. So I never make single statement of what I think now. I have tried to write things on Facebook but it really isn’t the right platform for expressing even slightly complex ideas. Right now I am more convinced than ever that we need complex solutions for the complex problems we face and that means somehow we have to express the problem and the ideas, but it can’t be done in soundbites. I don’t suppose I am right about everything and I am always open to new ideas but no-one is going to persuade me to their way of thinking with aggression or insults.
